| Abstract | Web-enabled virtual training system can enhance the learning efficiency for the trainee and trainer. However, the recognizable level of the training content will affect the real learning result. In this paper, it is suggested to design the web-enabled virtual training system by the knowledge-oriented method. It is expected to enrich the recognizable level for the training system by this aspect. Based on the experience of the first phase prototype of web-enabled virtual laser machine training system, the second phase of web-enabled virtual laser machine training system is developed that reinforce knowledgeoriented methodology. It made the training behavior more ergonomic that compare with first phase prototype. The purpose of this knowledge-oriented training system is not for training out the trainee that only follows the step to do the operation, but they do not know the knowledge of the system. The target of the system is for the trainee understanding the content of the real situation and increasing their knowledge of the system. The system is offered two levels of training program for the junior and senior users. This second phase system was improved through the pilot study. The pilot study invited the respondents from different backgrounds and professional areas that including software engineering and electromechanical engineering to offer their opinions and take on the probation. |
