| Abstract | The world is suffering by the energy shortage, high cost, and pressure from the environment protection. With the recent booming in the development of infrastructures in Macau, such as hotels, storied building, sports stadiums, etc., the corresponding demand for energy consumption increases at the same rate. For a small city like Macau, energy saving becomes an efficient way to support the sustainable development of the city. This paper introduces a study on energy saving strategies. Evaluation method on energy saving program on individual equipments is given. The application of energy saving program in power stations is discussed and a case study in Coloane Power Station is carried out. |
