AbstractAn overview of recent research in the measurement of pressure drop under different boundary conditions were present in this Keynote presentation. The pressure drop in the laminar transition and turbulent regions were introduced and their variations were fully discussed. Moreover, besides major pressure loss that happens in straight mini tube, the minor loss of fittings, in this case, the mini elbows was also present and the results indicated that available empirical equations could not give accurate prediction for the minor loss coefficient.
