| Abstract | Drawing has been the central core in my creative work. I work with graphite on papers and fabrics, simple tools as preceded in both Eastern and Western drawing traditions. Some gender stereotyped Chinese characters and a secret matriarchal script nushu are appropriated as oral and scripto-visual communication, exploring manifestations within cultures. With drawing as the core to suggest intensity of filling the time/space, I explore to extend the work into other bodies and dimensions, seeking multiplicities and diversities. The intensive work, approaches and transformation are searching of the mode suggesting fluidity, ever-changing characteristics, and making dialogues with the space. |
