| Abstract | With the development of domestic social and economic needs and policies, higher education needs continuous reform, and the speed of change is getting faster and wider. This article discusses the reasons, orientation, and issues of higher education reform, and then summarizes the nature and direction of higher education reform. It is hoped that this article will make appeals that people who take part in this wave of higher education reforms could settle their thinking, re-examine the nature of higher education, and clarify what is education? What should it be? What kind of higher education needed for the 21st century? Then decide the measures and direction of the change. |
