Abstract | In the relatively short history of their group, the BRICS countries’ loose characterization of their institutional setting as a “dialogue and cooperation platform” has drawn mixed and changing reactions. Notably their comparative diversity has been subject to disparate and critical views. However, diversity has various aspects, which in times of an accelerating pace of change may be paradoxical in the sense that diversity is both an important driver of change but also an element of stability in change. |
