| Abstract | Platycodon grandiflorum is one kind of widely used Chinese medicine herbs. This review summarizes the progress on the pharmacological effects of Platycodon grandiflorum via searching the databases such as Pubmed and China National Knowledge Infrastructure ( CNKI). The anti-inflammatory effect, immune-regulative effect, anti-cancer effect, hepatoprotective and cardiovascular protective effects, anti-diabetic effect, anti-obesity effect, and analgesic effect of Platycodon grandiflorum have been summarized and analysed in order to provide information for its further development and clinical application. |
