禮樂之復:唐順之經學義理研究

Abstract

經學所以治世。明代中葉内憂外患,頻仍而至,仁人志士,莫不欲有所振作,以圖力挽狂瀾,唯豺虎當道,黨争之熾,意氣之猛,有增無减。唐順之處其時,繼承方孝孺剛正之道一本淑世之懷以治經,欲本經術匡扶世運,以《春秋》正王道,以歌《詩》扶教化,扭撥惡習,復歸根本之人心,此無欲之天機本心,足以活化天德以成就極功。其融攝漢宋,兼收並蓄,而不離生生不息之真心以體會經義,鈍學累功,學思交修,體現精進不已之治學精神,而思有以端正時世、彰明道術,再復"禮樂",對治内外之亂,可謂雄傑不凡。唯學界偏蔽於文章一面而忽略其復禮經學,故論明清經學,難免偏蔽。今本傳世文獻,先明荆川先生"治經明禮"之治經原則,次述其"撥轉人心而復禮"之《春秋》"王道"大義,並論其"聲辭並兼以復樂"之《詩》學要義,實事求是,彰顯久埋之"復禮經學",則學術生機,於焉得蘇也。
