Other Abstract | The Amsterdam Center of International Law recently organized a seminar with the intriguing title "The Future of International Constitutional Law". A small group of participants, mainly from Western Europe, tried to find an answer in three sessions, each devoted to a specific question. First of all, what is the structure of the international constitutional order? Secondly, what kind of international community is there today? Thirdly, what is the hierarchy of norms in international law? Since it is impossible to give a nuanced and detailed description of all contributions, emphasis will be laid on only two of them. For the rest, we refer the reader to the Conference Proceedings which will be published shortly. |
