Abstract | When two antennas are placed in proximity to each other, their respective characteristic modes (CMs) tend to be mutually coupled in terms of c/π modes. This paper proposes a method to effectively extract coupling impedance/admittance of characteristic modes. Next, two coupled patch antenna elements are presented to illustrate the coupling phenomena and verify the proposed extraction method. |
