Abstract | This paper proposes a unity-gain two-stage output driver incorporating a tunable bridged-shunt peaking with a grounded active inductor. Implemented in 65-nm CMOS, with compact active area (0.0238 mm2), the prototype achieves 45-GHz bandwidth (BW) of SDD21 and a BW of SDD22 < -10 dB up to 35 GHz. Due to the occurrence of a zero in the transfer function, a cave in SDD22 around 30 GHz within the in-band BW of SDD21 improves the reverse reflection at the final output stage. Additionally, the measured results show coarse and fine tunability of the AC responses. |
