本文通过对海峡两岸四地 151 种杂志使用篇末终结符号的统计、分析, 结合当前语文应用的实际情况, 提出使用“篇末号”的建议, 并对“篇末号”的名称 、符号、位置作了深入的探讨。希望借此引起语言学界的注意, 尽早对篇末号作出规范, 以适应读者的阅读心理和提高读者的阅读效益 。

Based on the result of statistics and analysis of the use of the end-text mark in 151 magazines published the mainland, Taiwan,Hong Kong and Macao of China, this paper suggests that an 'end-text mark' should be employed. The author has made a proposal on the name, symbol and placement of this mark. It is hoped that the paper could arouse the attention of the linguistic circles on the standardization of the end-text mark which is suitable to the psychology of readers so as to enhance their reading efficiency.
