科学思维的局限性与“诗话”批评的复兴

Abstract

纵观20世纪以来的文艺研究,有计划、有步骤、逻辑严密的科学主义研究模式日益占据主流地位。它固然使得对文艺问题的思考更周到、更全面,但由于科学化研究模式的一个基本特征就是排斥感性与偶然性,因此,中国传统文学批评模式如诗话体以及评点体所显示出的即兴而发或有感而发的偶发性与性灵化特征便受到抑制。这一方面使当前的文艺研究由于过分追求科学主义规范而显露出程式化的倾向,另一方面又使崇尚兴会妙悟的文学批评方式得不到相应的重视。本文以钱锺书对神秘主义思维的辩护为切入点,探讨艺术与科学以及审美批评与科学研究在思维方式上的区别,肯定"美术之知"的价值,提出复兴诗话体的构想,主张文学批评不应排斥性灵与妙悟,而应将理论融入想象和直觉。
