Abstract

Similarity solution of non‐isothermal stagnation‐point flow approaching a solid wall is studied numerically in this paper. The paper shows that a similarity solution is possible for stagnation‐point flow with convective heat transfer associated with the cold fluid on the lower surface of the solid wall. The uncoupled ordinary differential equations which governing the similarity solution are solved by the fourth order Runge‐Kutta method. Numerical results of different values of Prandtl number and Nusselt number which characterize the convective heat transfer process are presented and analyzed.
