Abstract

The Raman Spectra of single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT) produced in the channels of zeolite using full-symmetry line group was analyzed. The phonon dispersion curves of the nanotubes (5,0), (3,3), and (4,2) were calculated based on a symmetry-adapted lattice-dynamical model. The Raman active phonon modes were calculated using Raman peaks. It was found that the quality and chirality of the nanotubes was controlled by optimizing the fabrication process of the 0.4 nm SWNTs.
