Abstract

This paper presents the mathematical model of ASVG system in which the loss is considered and the precision of simulation is improved.The control law of ASVG is obtained by Linear Optimal Control Theory.The simulation results show that the output reactive power of ASVG is controlled by the firing angle only and not by the conducting angle,the function of conducting angle is to adjust the capacitor voltage
