Abstract | This paper presents an energy recycling power-supply-modulated multichannel microstimulator with energy recycling. To improve the stimulation efficiency, the supply of the current driver is modulated according to the instantaneous electrode voltage. Multichannel stimulation together with energy recycling is achieved through decoupling the electrode array from the power supply. A digital pulse-skipping PWM quasi-PID (D-PS-PWM-QPID) controller is proposed to improve the stimulation efficiency. |
