Abstract | For patch-based texture synthesis, this paper investigates the influence of its parameters on synthesis efficiency, where the parameters are the shape and size of patches and the size of the overlap regions between neighbour patches. Based on the texture features, the periods of texture change and the constraint from the overlap regions, techniques are given in the paper to measure the influence of the parameters, and therefore, to adaptively optimize the parameters for promoting texture synthesis. |
