This paper proposes the bandpass-filtering periodic structure and then applies it to manipulate far-field transmitting patterns. The periodic element is synthesized and designed using the equivalent transmission line model. By changing the length of slotlines in each element, the passband can be adjusted, where the element is further quasi-periodically arranged for manipulating the transmitted wave. Finally, an array with 10×20 elements is realized, with a deflection angle of 30°. In addition, the proposed array possesses the angular stability within 45°.
