AbstractThe polarizations of a classical light beam have the potential to be turned into entanglement using the theory of coherent states. We show that the Bell-like states are constructible from coherent and displaced Fock states using just beam polarizations and further demonstrate how quantum algorithms such as Shor’s algorithm and a SHA collision finding algorithm can be implemented on such constructs.
