Abstract | With the increasing demand for communication quality, sensing accuracy, and computation latency, the joint design of integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) with mobile edge computing (MEC) systems is becoming an emerging topic in future networks. In this paper, we propose a novel coordinated multi-point (CoMP) aided ISAC-MEC framework. Multiple base stations (BSs) cooperatively conduct target sensing while serving multiple uplink edge users (EUs). We leverage the CoMP technique to improve the sensing and communication performance through cooperative transmission and reception. We study the joint problem involving beamforming optimization, offloading, and computation resource allocation, to minimize the overall system energy consumption. Despite the non-convex nature of this problem, we propose an efficient algorithm to solve it. Numerical results demonstrate the performance gains compared to several baselines. |
