Abstract | This chapter presents some promising topics pertaining to IRS-aided WIT/WPT worthy of further investigation. First, we talk about a new type of IRS, namely active IRS, which can not only reflects the incident signals but also amplify them, thus overcomes the shortcoming of passive IRS owing to its significant path-loss. Second, the application of IRS in UAV communications are discussed from the perspective of anti-jamming, which is vulnerable to malicious attacks from terrestrial nodes due to the strong LoS links. |
