Three new abietane diterpenoids from the aerial parts of Euphorbia fischeriana and their cytotoxic effects

Abstract

Chemical investigation on the aerial parts of Euphorbia fischeriana resulted in the identification of eight abietane-type diterpenoids including three undescribed ones, named 3α-acetoxy-14-hydroxy-ent-abieta-8(9),13(15)-dien-16,12-olide (1), 3α,7β-dihydroxy-ent-abieta-11(12),13(15)-dien-16,12-olide (2), and 2β-hydroxy helioscopinolide B (3). Compound 1 exhibited moderate cytotoxic activities against the HL-60, SMMC-7721, and SGC-7901 cancer cells.
