Abstract

As pressures over water resources in the world grow exponentially, so grows the prospect of the international society being faced with looming water conflicts. These latter ones call for a review of the methods of settlement of international disputes and the consideration of their adaptability to the specificities of international water conflicts. This is done in this study, both by rethinking the doctrinal debates on the topic and by a thorough analysis of the burgeoning case law on the subject, more and more international courts being called to address these issues.
