| Abstract | 上世紀二十年代英國作家吳爾芙提出「自己的房間」的觀念，房間成為女性創作的一個核心。2011年，我分別在台北及澳門籌劃了名叫《房間》的展覽，展現我多年來有關文化符號與只在女性間唱讀的「女書」的繪畫及其延伸創作。當代女性主義哲學家露茜．伊瑞葛來（Luce Irigaray）指出，女性的解放必須要改變經濟體系；由是得要改變文化及其運作的機關，即語言。好些婦女以秘密獨特的「女書」符號唱誦、編繡和書寫，把向來不被大寫歷史所涵蓋的女性故事一一記下，在在說明不一樣的語言表述的可能。我把西方藝術的鉛筆繪畫和非正統的語言文字「女書」串連起來，嘗試從二者的邊緣性和顛覆性的啟發，展現一個房間裡的種種，發展出一套流動、多變、跟傳統不一樣的創作的可能，以期回應伊瑞葛來的「差異的實踐」的理念。文中穿插不同學者、創作人對女性在房間裡創作的論述；房間是為一個方向，也是一個策略。 |
