Abstract | East Asians attend more to conversational contexts than North Americans (Haberstroh et al., 2001). Consequently, when answering a question in a scale, East Asians may exclude information provided in answering preceding questions to avoid redundancy, and result in lower scale reliability. An examination of published reliabilities supported such hypothesis. |
