Abstract | Immunotherapy combined with nanotherapy for cancer is an advanced discipline dealing with life science and human health, and is also an attractive platform for the collaboration of scientists from clinical and medicinal chemistry to develop novel therapeutic methods [1, 2]. The principal aim of this special issue is to report recent progress in the combined therapy for cancer, using basic and experimental approaches. Cancer is the second frequent cause of human death worldwide [3]. Current mainstream treatments including surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, show limited clinical outcomes [4, 5]. To date, with the rapid development of nanotechnology, nanomedicine has attracted more and more attention; thanks to the promising development of personalized medicine, it has resulted in a more efficient and reliable treatment for cancer. |
