Abstract

This paper examines the media development in Macau bases on a series of media usage surveys conducted in the past decade. Figures of the surveys show that the local media is losing its dominant position locally despite the fact that there are more new products compete in the growing Macau media market since 1999. It is discovered that technology advancement and possible media function failures are the driven factors of this phenomenon.
