The writer Stefan Zweig, author ot the famous book "Brazil: A Land of the Future", and one of the most popular european authors of the 1940's, lived and died in Brazil at that time.  For this reason he was never forgotten (or less remembered) in Brazil. However, in English-speaking countries, Zweig's work went through periods of oblivion and remembrances. The article reflects on issues related to this "eternal return" of the author, based on practical and marketing issues of the retranslation of his famous novel "Medo"  into Portuguese.
