Abstract

This paper presents a brief review on the development of numerical calibration and de-embedding techniques. The earlier proposed short-open-calibration (SOC) technique was first implemented in the integral-equation based method of moments and extensively studied for computer-aided design of different microwave circuit structures. Unlike other de-embedding techniques, the SOC technique has no need to pre-define the port discontinuities and feed network, but only consider them as a unified error box. Recent progress in this research will be discussed and clarified.
