澳門仲裁業和調解業起步較晚，目前法律制度的完整性尚可，但普及度不夠。實踐中，仲裁機構等整體效益低下，情況不甚理想。但是，適逢國家推行「粵港澳大灣區」發展規劃和「一帶一路」倡議，澳門憑借自由港、國際化等優勢，若能抓住機遇，有效利用天時地利，澳門仲裁業和調解業必將迎來一個歷史性的發展階段。

Arbitration and mediation began much later in Macau. While the existing legal framework is relatively sophisticated，dissemination is less than satisfactory. In practice，the overall efficiency of arbitration bodies is low and unsatisfactory. Coinciding with the development planning of the Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road initiative，Macau can take advantage of its free port and internationalisation to develop arbitration and mediation onto a higher level.
