| Abstract | The urban air quality is affected not only by local air pollution processes but it is also subjected to the external influence of atmospheric pollution from neighbouring regions and long-range transport brought by large-scale weather systems. A multi-scale air pollution system (ALL-IN-ONE) was developed to assess the air quality of an urban building cluster due to transboundary pollution, urban air pollution and road traffic emissions within the street canyons of this building cluster. It will help policy makers in their air quality management strategy by the identification of different air pollution processes, and in the design and assessment of air pollution control measures. The ALL-IN-ONE system was tested for a particulate matter (PM2.5) pollution episode in January of 2014 over the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) (Lopes et al., 2016). |
