| Abstract | Knowledge-based support of engineering activities is studied in the paper. With the help of the presented knowledge-based framework, an effective and advanced environment for an engineering design, control, and optimization can be developed, supporting these activities by an Artificial Intelligence methods and techniques. The knowledge-based subsystem is joined with an engineering software system, controlling partial computation and supporting a user in his decision making process. Several practical applications were dveloped. Two of them are reviewed in the paper. |
