Abstract | In the digital age, students are more used to use mobile information technology (e.g. iPad, iPhone) in their daily life. In nowadays science classrooms, assessment is not only conducted in paper-and-pencil mode, but also increasingly more in the digital mode. To prepare for digital assessment in CloudClassroom (CCR), this paper reports a trial study on how a school in Macao attempts to practice digital science assessment in the CCR learning environment. This trial study paves the way for another pilot study examining the mode effects resulting from the shift of the paper-and-pencil to digital mode of assessment. This shift holds promise for practicing not only assessment of learning, but also assessment for learning and assessment as learning. |
