Abstract | The heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of 8 automotive engine strip-fin oil coolers were experimental studied. The oil coolers are same type and made by 4 different factories. The experimental results show that the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of the oil coolers are different because of different technological process. Based on experimental data, the relationship of the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of the oil cooler via oil flow rate was poly-fitted, which provides an useful reference for structure design and type selection of offset strip-fin oil cooler. |
